This was a large project - creating product packaging for a product of my choice: Flea Medication. This project involved creating a digital painting based off a photo, researching current packaging trends, branding, and 3D rendering.

I wanted to convey strength and protection for the company logo, so I decided to go with a tall and narrow typeface, and paired that with a shield.

The first part of this project involved creating a digital painting using Photoshop. I wanted the packaging to give off a loving mood for this project, so I chose a photo that had a person snuggling with their cat.

When I first started this project, I wanted to use a seafoam green color scheme because I felt that it suited the "Medicine" vibe.

I soon realized the seafoam green color scheme giving the packaging a "medicine" vibe was contrary to the "loving" mood I wanted to give to this piece. I didn't want people to be thinking "gosh, my cat is sick" as they were choosing the box. Instead, I decided to go with a more neutral color scheme and stuck to beige, grey, and a bit of pink and purple to bring in some color.
